Free and Reduced Tickets

Information on discounts for students, children, and other eligible visitors.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities offers concessions for certain visitors. This page outlines the main categories for free or reduced-price tickets to the Giza Plateau. Please be prepared to show valid identification to avail of any discounts.

Eligibility for Discounts

Students

Students of all nationalities up to the age of 24 can receive a discount on the general admission ticket (EGP 350 instead of EGP 700). A valid student ID card with a photograph and expiry date must be presented at the ticket office. The discount applies to the general plateau entry but may not apply to interior pyramid tickets.

Children

Children under the age of 6 can enter the Giza Plateau free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult.

Egyptians and Arab Nationals

Egyptian citizens and citizens of other Arab League nations are eligible for significantly reduced ticket prices. Valid identification must be shown.

How to Claim Your Discount

All discounts must be claimed in person at the official ticket booths at the entrance to the Giza Plateau. You cannot get these discounts when booking through most third-party online vendors.

Ensure you have the correct, original identification with you. Photocopies are often not accepted. For students, the ID must be a valid university or school card that clearly shows your name, photo, and a validity date. An ISIC (International Student Identity Card) is widely accepted.
